Jimmy's Diary
Dearest Diary,
What a week. Seriously diary, I didn’t think I would make it. The sitting around, the worry and lack of sleep were enough to send me over the edge, all that torture from having to watch one episode of Glee. I would rather negotiate a CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) again than sit through that show. I don’t understand musicals, as soon as the singing starts I have a suspension of disbelief problem as no one just starts singing at the grocery store or while watching a plumber fix a sink. Sorry diary-I am out. I’ll just stick to my ‘Golden Girls’ DVD.
Had to postpone plans to fertilize my yard as snow fell while I was away. I wouldn’t want to skip fertilizing in the spring as it increases root production. A healthy root system gives a lawn a fighting chance in the summer heat. You see diary, healthy roots travel farther into the soil and this aids in drought protection. I would be wise to consider an irrigation system. Two zones in the front would probably suffice if the right heads were employed. Must remember to call for mulch!
I had the dream again about the monkey in the Ferris wheel.
I started to think again about how cool I am, really I should say, how cool everyone thinks I am. It’s funny; I feel really cool a lot, not all the time, but a lot. I am sure some wouldn’t believe it, but alas, it is true. Some situations don’t offer an option of cool. It’s hard to feel cool when I have diarrhea or if I slip on an ice-covered sidewalk or when someone waves at me and I wave back, only to find out they weren’t waving to me at all. The wave was intended for someone behind me. Not cool.
I read in the paper today that a Somali Islamist al-Shabab was shot. Sheik Hasan, who was in charge of front-line operations in the town of Dhobley, near the Kenyan border, was shot at close range. At press time, no rival Islamist groups, including Hizbul-Islam, had taken responsibility. Also the Lakers are 51-18.
